High Level of Islamic Education

Indiranagar Extension, established in the mid-1960s, was a rapidly developing area at the time. During its formative years, there was no Masjid (mosque) in Indiranagar Extension or its surrounding neighborhoods. Additionally, the Muslim population in the locality was relatively sparse. However, as time progressed, the area's population grew significantly, encompassing people from diverse communities, including Muslims.

Recognizing the need for a space of worship and to address the welfare of the Muslim community, a group of prominent residents in Indiranagar came together with a vision. They initiated efforts to organize the community by reaching out to like-minded individuals who shared their goals. This collective endeavor led to the formation of the "Indiranagar Muslim Welfare Association," a formal body aimed at promoting the welfare of the Muslim population in the region. The association was officially registered under the Karnataka Societies Act, marking a significant milestone in its establishment. Through this platform, the association not only facilitated the construction of a Masjid but also contributed to the social and cultural development of the community, fostering unity and cooperation among residents. Over the years, the growth of the Muslim population in Indiranagar, along with other communities, has mirrored the overall development of the locality.
